PETE 144 Inclusive Physical Activity Programs: Individuals with Disabilities

This course focuses on inclusive physical activity and sports experiences, teaching students strategies to integrate young adults, both with and without disabilities, into community-based programs across various inclusive settings. The curriculum covers the causes, characteristics, and teaching methods related to instructing young adults with disabilities in inclusive environments, including essential components of Individualized Transition Plans in Physical Education (ITP-PE). Through hands-on practical applications, students gain extensive experience in inclusive physical activity and sports settings.
