PETE 308 Impacting the Whole Person through Experiential Education
This course is designed to enhance students’ knowledge and application of physical activity, physical education, and the sciences of psychology and sociology. Motivation, self-esteem, self-concept, environment, personal and social responsibility development will be related to physical skill acquisition, motor competence, group cooperation and self and team competition. Students will experience and develop an ability to analyze the effects of group interactions and dynamics related to participation in physical education and physical activity through participation in an adventure based curriculum, including the use of the challenge course at Stony Acres.
