PHYS 415 Computational Physics
This course will introduce students to the field of Computational Physics. Students will learn how to use the computer to solve problems in physics that cannot easily be solved analytically ("by hand"). Besides reading and learning about the techniques, students will be expected to write software to implement some of the techniques learned in class in order to gain insight into the physical phenomena. Students will learn the basics of a high-level programming language like C++ or Fortran as part of the course.
