HIST 516 Early Modern Europe

This course explores the early modern period in Europe history, from 1450 to 1750, with special emphasis on developments that laid the foundation for the modern world.  Through the discussion of primary and secondary sources, students will explore topics such as the Reformation and the development of religious plurality, the emergence of capitalism, and the growth of the state in theory and practice.
